TOUCH CONTROLS
  • Left / Right Arrows (Bottom-Left): Move the wanderer horizontally.
  • JUMP Button (Bottom-Right Cyan): Leap over pits, obstacles, and onto platforms.
  • ACTION Button (Bottom-Right Gold): Pull mechanical levers, open drain hatches, and trigger machines.
  • SWAP Button (Violet): Appears in dual-character levels to toggle control between companions.
HARDWARE KEYBOARD
  • A / D or Arrow Keys: Move left or right.
  • Spacebar: Jump.
  • E Key: Action / Interact with mechanisms.
  • Q Key: Swap active wanderer.
  • Esc: Pause / Open in-game menu.

Q: How do the Dual Depth Realms work?

Every level exists across two spatial depth layers: the Foreground and the Background. Objects in the background cast shadows and silhouettes onto the front plane. You can travel between depth planes using glowing spatial portals or synchronized elevators. Reaching a switch in the background often unlocks the path in the foreground.

Q: What should I do if an orb drops or a mechanism gets stuck?

You can instantly restart any puzzle from the beginning at zero cost. Simply tap the Settings / Gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and choose Restart Level.

Q: How do I replay the Opening Tutorial?

If you wish to revisit the introductory puzzle guide, navigate to Settings from the main home screen and select Replay Onboarding.

Q: Can I play Wordmill completely offline?

Yes! Wordmill does not require Wi-Fi or cellular data once downloaded. All puzzle simulations, ambient music, and sound effects are stored locally on your device.

Q: Where is my progress saved?

Your completed levels, best steps, and best times are stored securely on your local device. If you create an encrypted iCloud or iTunes backup of your iPhone or iPad, your game progress will be preserved when restoring to a new device.
